Job Title: Property and Housing Manager
Salary: £43,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: 197 High Street East, Sunderland, Tyne And Wear, England, SR1 2AX
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and manage housing services for tenants and residents across multiple properties. · Supervise housing officers, maintenance teams, and contractors to ensure timely repairs, maintenance, and property inspections. · Collect and manage rental payments, arrears, and service charges in accordance with company policy. · Inspect properties regularly, identify and arrange for necessary repairs or improvements, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. · Handle and resolve issues relating to tenants, including complaints, neighbour disputes, and housing concerns. · Maintain regular communication with tenants to ensure high levels of satisfaction and adherence to tenancy agreements. · Oversee housing applications, tenancy renewals, and lease management processes. · Liaise with local authorities, property agents, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding property management, compliance, and service delivery. · Manage property records, maintenance logs, rental accounts, and financial reporting for the property portfolio. · Prepare and manage budgets, monitor expenditure, and report to senior management on property performance.
Qualifications and Experience
· Strong leadership and team management abilities. · Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills. · Good understanding of housing law, tenancy management, and property compliance requirements. · Financial management skills, including budgeting and rent collection oversight. · Ability to build positive relationships with tenants, landlords, contractors, and local authorities. · Bachelor’s degree · Proven experience in housing, property, or estate management. · Experience managing projects, teams and property portfolios.
